Ken Robinson: Does School Kill Creativity

I would argue creativity is as important as literacy because how can any set skill take us into a future we can't grasp.

If you start school right now you'll retire in 2065 we not only can predict we have no clue what the world will look like if five years.

"If your afraid to be wrong you'll never come up with anything original."

"All children are born artists the trick is reamining an artist as one grows old." - Picasso

Can you picture Shakespear having a father, a teacher, being a child?

Heirarchy: Language, Mathematics, Humanities, The Arts (Art, Music, Drama, Dance)

Education services the needs of the industrial revoltuion which is a profound mistake as we face a cultural revolution in the information age. We can no longer allow academic ability to drive our view of intelligence, created in the university models image. The consequence is brilliant people think they are not because thier intelligence was not valued and worse stigmatized.

Academic Inflation - Job requiring H.S requires B.A, job requires B.A requires M.A, etc.

Intelligence
1. Diverse
2. Dynamic - Interactive, Creativity (Original ideas of value)
3. Distinct - (CATS (Move to think))
